Dosage

How to use?

Ciloxan Eye drops

    the

  • Ulcer corneal:

2 drops in eyes affected every 15 minutes for the first six hours and then two drops in eyes affected every 30 minutes for remainder of first day.

On the second day, instill two drops in the eye affected on the hour.

On the third day until the tenth-the fourth day, instill two drops in the eye affected every four hours.

The treatment may continue after 14 days if corneal re-epithelialization does not occur.

  • Conjunctivitis:

1 or 2 drops in the bag conjunctival every two hours while awake for two days and one or two drops every four hours while awake for five days following.

Ciloxan Ointment

    the

  • Ulcer corneal:

Apply approximately 1.0 cm of the ointment in the bag conjunctival every 1-2 hours in the first two days and the same amount every four hours for up to 12 days. The dose may be increased at the discretion of the physician.

  • Conjunctivitis:

Apply approximately 1.0 cm of the ointment in the bag conjunctival three times per day in the first two days and the same amount two times per day in the five days following. The dose may be increased at the discretion of the physician.

Side Effects

What are the evils that can cause me?

In multi-center clinical studies of 3 to 7 days, 52% of the patients with conjunctivitis cultures conjunctival positive were clinically cured, and 70%-80% have had all disease causing pathogens eradicated by the end of the treatment.

After treatment with Ciloxan eye Ointment, 88% of patients with ulcers hornfelses and bacterial cultures positive were clinically cured and complete re-epithelialization occurred in 93% of the ulcers.

In multi-center clinical studies of 3 and 7 days, 59% of the patients with conjunctivitis and cultures conjunctival positive were clinically cured, and 70%-85% had all the disease causing pathogens eradicated by the end of the treatment.

Warnings and Precautions
