In the same way that other medicines nsaids, Sintofenac is contraindicated to patients with asthma, in which asthma attacks, urticaria or acute rhinitis are triggered by the use of acetylsalicylic acid or by other medicines inhibitors of the activity of the prostaglandin-synthetase. How to use?
Adults: as a rule, the initial dose per day is 100 to 150 mg. In milder cases, as well as for prolonged therapy, 75 to 100 mg/day are generally sufficient. The daily dose prescribed should be split in 2 to 3 sockets. In the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea, the daily dose, which should be individually adapted, is generally 50 to 150 mg. Initially, the dose of 50 to 100 mg should be administered and, if necessary, high over the course of several menstrual cycles up to a maximum of 200 mg/day. The treatment should be started at the first symptoms and, depending on the symptoms, may continue for a few days. The tablets should be taken whole with liquid, preferably before meals. Overdosage: the treatment of acute poisoning with anti-inflammatory agents non-steroidal is essentially a measures symptomatic and of support. There is no clinical picture typical resulting from the overdosage of diclofenac. The therapeutic measures to be taken in case of an overdose are: gastric lavage and treatment with activated charcoal, as soon as possible after the overdose, because they help prevent the absorption. Symptomatic treatment and support should be given in case of complications, such as hypotension, renal failure, convulsions, gastrointestinal irritation and respiratory depression. Diuresis forced, dialysis or hemoperfusão are not useful in the elimination of anti-inflammatory agents non-steroidal as a result of their high rate of binding to proteins and metabolism extensive.
