When should I not use?
COLTRAX INJ is contraindicated to patients who are hypersensitive to the tiocolchicosídeo or any of the other ingredients of the formula, pregnancy and lactation, and patients who have known hypersensitivity to colchicine.
Studies conducted in animals have shown reproductive toxicity. There are clinical data insufficient to assess the safety of use in pregnancy. As a result, tiocolchicosídeo is against-indicated in pregnancy.
As the passage of COLTRAX INJ to breast milk, is contraindicated its use during lactation.
How to use?
The initial dose is 8 mg or 2 ampoules by intramuscular injection per day.
Treatment of acute or acute exacerbations: the daily dose may be gradually increased by half of the initial dose (4 mg) for 2 days, up to twice or, exceptionally, to triple the initial dose.
chronic Treatment: the dosage can be reduced by increasing the interval between the injections (at least 1 or 2 per week, or month).
physical Therapy: one must take into consideration the latency time required to obtain this effect myorelaxant 30 to 40 minutes for intramuscular administration.

COLTRAX INJ can trigger seizures in patients with epilepsy or in those with risk of seizures epiléticas (see Adverse Reactions). Due to cases of crisis, vasovagal, the patient should be monitored after administration of the injectable solution.
